We are food obsessives called Tom and Sophie, who spend most of our spare time planting, growing, cooking and trying to create exciting menus to eat and to feed to others!
We love experimenting with recipes from our favourite chefs to create interesting and fresh dishes. To keep us going we grow a lot of our own fruit and veg. It doesn't always go to plan. Last year our tomatoes got blight and our sloe bush only produced one sloe (we still managed to drink the gin,) but wherever possible we look to what is growing in our garden to inspire what we cook.
Where we don't grow it, we look to use local suppliers and celebrate all things Leeds and Yorkshire.
Whats the concept?
Every couple of months we will host a supper club in our home. The menu will have a minimum of five courses and an aperitif on arrival.
There will be 12 places available, all seated together in our dining room where you can watch us cook, plate up and run about.
It's BYOB but glasses, lemons, limes, ice and a cocktail shaker will be provided.
Apart from these two handsome things, all the food on this site has been grown or cooked by us.

What our guests have said about us
"We booked Moortown Kitchen as an alternative to a restaurant meal for my 40th celebration. I can say that the evening was a far better experience than we would ever have had in a restaurant. Tom and Sophie are brilliant hosts and because it is their own home you feel really relaxed and a bit special. There is no rush with anything, it’s like having a dinner party at your own home without the hassle and the washing up!
The food was amazing, I mean really delicious. We asked for Indian food that catered for vegetarian as well as meat and the selection was terrific and tasted brilliant. There were many courses, extra for seconds and we were all absolutely stuffed by the end.
I couldn’t recommend this more and we will certainly book in again as a celebration or just to catch up with friends in an informal relaxed atmosphere."
"Just a quick note to say thank you ever so much for hosting your fantastic supper club on Friday! Just the tonic after a long week at work."
"Thank you very much for your warm welcome and hospitality on Saturday evening! We had a superb evening and clearly much organisation and preparation went into the meal which was an absolute joy!"
